Most are frustrated and feel they are dumping a significant amount of money and getting no return on their investment.
B2C is not the same as B2B
The problem is that most digital marketing agencies and web developers primarily serve clients who sell B2C and have little to no experience with B2B markets. Its also important to understand that most designers and digital marketing companies come from either a graphic design or computer coding background and have little experience with actual marketing.
The industry trend and belief is that no matter what the product or service is it can all be sold the same way. So, selling $20 custom t-shirts is no different than selling plastic injection molds for $200,000.
The point is, as a B2B business you need reliable and relevant resources to help you determine the methods, techniques, and strategies necessary to implement effective digital marketing initiatives. Even if you decide to use an agency, you should have enough knowledge to direct the agency and not simply accept their recommendations without validation.
